Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a deep meditative and therapeutic practise when it is done properly and with awareness.
The ”sound breathing”, the Bandhas (inner energy locks) and the Drishtis (concentration points) take you back to yourself, driving your five senses to the source. The practise increases the inner fire which helps to purify your body and as S.K. Pattabhi Jois was saying ”the blood starts to boil” removing the toxins through the veins. The daily practise of Ashtanga Yoga makes the physical body strong and flexible and leads the practitioner to a state of understanding himself better, seeing situations from a total different perspective and experiencing a sense of wellbeing and inner peace.
